Using Interactive Technology to Sell Services to Corporate Jet Owners



Our client, Elliott Aviation, is a diversified aviation services company with four locations in the Midwest. Their slogan is "consider it done," and they are justifiably proud of their on-time, on-budget shop service record, as well as their many unique and technologically innovative services, such as their sound management system which provides superior cabin noise reduction. When they came to us, they already had a web site, but they were looking for ways to effectively reorganize the hierarchy and structure of the site for ease of use, as well as take advantage of the Web's interactive capabilities to promote and pre-sell their custom interior design and sound management services. Cross selling capabilities were also a high priority.


Working together with both the IT and marketing departments, AHA:

  • Developed a totally new look for the site
  • Created an Interactive Spec Board that allows the consumer to define parameters of their plane and to be able to save and go back to their specs at any time and email to the sales person when ready.
  • Hyperlinked text within the sections to facilitate cross selling, and also provided hyperlinks to promote email communication with the sales staff
  • Enhanced and flattened the navigation for ease of use, with limited clicks and rollover features to display to sub-menus
  • Provided a Site Map/Search Section
  • Enhanced content, for more depth of information
  • Integrated an online demonstration of the Elliott Sound Management System. Customers are invited to participate in a Flash enabled demonstration featuring sound files, which clearly showcases the cabin noise reduction provided by the system
  • Uploaded the "Wavelink," Elliott's quarterly newsletter in PDF format, and provided an opt-in email feature, to allow subscribers to be notified whenever the new issue goes online
  • Next on the agenda, virtual tours for several types of aircraft Elliott services


After just a few months online, monthly user sessions have doubled and reached record levels. The website has been featured in several aviation-related media, and the client is very pleased with the results.
